Cheltenham Festival - Day 2 (16th March)

Day 2

I've got a horrid cold so not saying much today.

A quick note about the card:

1:30 Cheltenham

Either the favourite here or an each-way poke at fair odds. I'll side with Willie Mullins' Sir Gerhard at odds-on.

1st Sir Gerhard 8/11 +0.72pts

2:10 Cheltenham

Will go with Paul Nicholls' Bravemansgame who is unbeaten this year.

NR

2:50 Cheltenham

An open-looking race. A small each-way bet on Indigo Breeze for Gordon Elliotte.

8th 20/1 -1pt

3:30 Cheltenham

A calls race: The Queen Mother's Chase with just 8 runners. Shishkin has been in excellent form and with will primed for the day. No price but lovely to Nicky Henderson's eight-year-old run well today.

PU 5/6 -1pt

4:10 Cheltenham

Tiger Roll favourite to go well here. This stamina test over 3m 6f. Be lovely to see Gordon Elliott's charge get back to winning ways. Will have a win bet on Prengarde and hope for the best.

PU 9/2 -1pt

4:50 Cheltenham

A 20-strong field over this 2m. Will have a bet on Amarillo Sky for Colin Tizzard ridden by Brenden Powell.

5th 5/1 -1pt

5:30 Cheltenham

Another giant field for this Champion Bumper. Quite a few lightly raced horses here. Willie Mullins has plenty of horses racing here and I'll go with Facile Vega who looks impressive.

1st 15/8 1.875pts

Total on the day -1.4pts

Good luck to all.
