Cheltenham Festival - Day 3 (17th March)

Still feeling like a sack of shit with this man cold so can't be that bothered about writing a post but will do.

Soft ground. It looked hard work yesterday and I wonder how those testing conditions will go for some. I can't say I enjoy watching the races, the NH has no real interest or meaning to me at all and I'm simply writing this post to fill a hole.

1:30 Cheltenham

Not sure how many were expected for this almost £100,000 prize but only four have made it to the start. Anti-post backers must be in despair with this soft ground. No value if you don't get to the line, hey. Unless something strange happens, this looks a two horse race. I will go with Willie Mullins Galopin Des Champs.

Fell 5/6 -1pt

2:10 Cheltenham

A big old field of 22. I do hate these handicaps. I will hope Winter Fog enjoys a test of stamina for Emmet Mullins.

4th 11/2 -1pt

2:50 Cheltenham

The Ryanair Chase with just 7 runners. I will go with Allaho for the Mullins team. A big old pot of money for winning this.

1st 4/7 +0.57pts

3:30 Cheltenham

The Stayers' Hurdle over 3m. Another race I have no idea about. I will be hoping Philip Hobs has a bit of luck here with Thyme Hill

2nd 11/2 -1pt

4:10 Cheltenham

18 runners at the time of writing. Imperial Alcazar gets the vote here.

2nd 7/2 -1pt

4:50 Cheltenham

Love Envoi each way.

1st 15/2 +9.37pts

5:30 Cheltenham

Omar Maretti straight win.

PU 9/1 -1pt

Total on the day +4.94pts

Pleased that is done as running out of steam.

Good luck to all.
